In the past we have been asked why operating a conservation burial ground aligns with the mission of The Wilderness Center. Sure, natural burial conserves many of the non-renewable natural resources that are used during conventional burial methods. And TWC is an organization committed to educating our community about our natural world and the impact we have upon it. While these aspects of natural burial do serve some of the tenets of our mission, there is more to it than that.
