Fall Tree Planting
Fall is the best time of year to plant a tree at the Foxfield Preserve. The tree will benefit from autumn rains before it goes dormant for the winter. It will have the ability to become more established during the spring before the young tree has to face the harsh heat or drought of summer. Statistically, a fall planting will have a better chance of healthy growth.
Foxfield Preserve will be hosting a tree planting day on Saturday, November 13th. In preparation for this day, we will be working with a local supplier to place an order that will be delivered to the Preserve. If you would like to participate, please download the order form below and return your order, with payment, no later than October 16th.
Foxfield Preserve staff will be on-site from 10:00am until 2:00pm on November 13, and arrangements can be made for them to assist in the planting of your tree or perform the planting for you. Simply indicate this preference on your order form. When you arrive on November 13, your plot will be marked, an area on your plot cleared for planting, and your tree or shrub will be waiting at the site. Please bring your own shovels.
Order forms can be returned by mail to P.O. Box 202, Wilmot, OH 44689 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Checks can be made payable to Foxfield Preserve, or call 330.359.5235 to make a credit card payment by phone.
